And in all different colors! I’ve even created and used ones with a Sunday start and with a Monday start. Over time I’ve created a bunch of different menu plan templates – blank ones, horizontal and vertical, ones with snacks, ones with a grocery list, and more. over the years my weekly meal planner has evolved from a simple list on the fridge to a notebook to an actual planner too, as of late, one of the free weekly meal plan templates you see below. □ My love for planning also spills over into meal planning. there is just something about writing down my thoughts and to-dos and everything else that helps me stay organized and stress-free during the daily chaos known as life with four kids. I’ve got notebooks full of lists of every kind. It definitely helps to shop over larger periods of time, in my experience.I love planning! No, seriously. You could get creative and do the same base meal- as far as meat and the main side ingredient, such as pasta, but add in different ingredients to change things up. I would love to attempt to do this monthly, as well. By planning those same meals twice it makes it easier to buy larger packages of things, which means big savings. Then, you can buy larger boxes of pasta, etc. Say I plan 2 beef meals, I need 4 lbs total, so I can buy a bulk pack to save big. Here’s how this helps my budget- I can buy meat in bulk. Once you have your 7 meals, make sure they are something your family really likes to eat, because you are going to repeat these 7 meals for 2 weeks. So, how I do this and save big on my budget is by picking 7 meals. Typically I shop weekly, but I love being able to skip that in between week and buy groceries for two weeks at a time. Sometimes, I’ll sit down and look at my meals for two weeks at a time. ![]() If you are really wanting to save on your grocery budget, this tip is for you. Next, sometimes I plan all of our dinners for the month at once- if we’re feeling burnt out on some things this makes sure that I don’t plan on that meal too much for that month, or I can use this method for my favorite meal planning budget hack. ![]()
